The triangle is the control cavity. Still need to buy some conductive paint, or copper tape, to make a Faraday cage in the control cavity. Painting it sounds a heck of a lot easier, but it's really expensive.

The other hole is where the sustain block of the tremolo sticks through, then springs go in the narrow part that goes up.

The picture also show why it needs to be painted, instead of just varnished. At the top, on right side, you can see the putty, where I had to add some wood. Routed out for the pickups, and put the pickup in the hole, and it stuck out past the guitar, so I had to add some. ::)

The John Deere decal that I ordered was supposed to be in Thursday, went there yesterday, and it wasn't in yet. Supposed to be in tomorrow. Not sure where I should put it.

Thanks. It's not so great in person, but we had fun. We painted it, and let it sit for a couple of days before we put the clear coat on it. When we went to put the clear coat on, we saw that the wood had cracked.

Sounds OK. If it ever cracks the rest of the way, I can glue it I guess.

All strings are from ordering new guitars, and the first thing you do when you get a new guitar is replace the strings. Even with all the above info, I don't understand why they won't tune it, and try it out.

The JDFH"s current special place is back out in the garage. Guitar DS wanted it "more shinny". He got a little aggressive with the buffer, and took off/melted off some paint. He painted that part yellow again. Then we painters taped it, painted green. This time, some of the yellow came off with the tape.

I think he just likes a reason to work out in the garage with Dad.
